LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Laser hair removal removes unwanted hair using a laser beam of light. This advanced method of “permanent hair reduction” is safe, gentle and fast. The procedure is well suited for any area of the body. Laser hair removal also works on shaving bumps and ingrown hairs. Laser hair removal is most effective for people who have light skin and dark hair. The average number of treatments required is 6-10.
If you’re tired of shaving, tweezing, or waxing to remove unwanted hair, laser hair removal may be an option worth considering.
Using IPL™ technology, chemical peels or cryotherapy, we are able to reduce your freckles, brownish age spots and melasma of pregnancy. Other options include topical therapies such as tretinoin (Retin-A), topical vitamin C or fading creams. However the results are unpredictable and response times can be 6 months or more for improvement.
Most pigmented lesions, if completely removed, will not return. However, repeated sun exposure may cause the spots to return. You will also continue to develop more age spots and freckles with time, and the appearance of these new lesions should not be confused with recurrence.
The number of treatments depends on the lesion being treated. Solar lentigines usually require
2 – 3 treatments and the recommended treatment interval is 1 month. It is recommended that you avoid sun exposure for a month after each treatment and apply sun screen cream with SPF of at least 30.
Laser skin rejuvenation treatment uses lasers or light sources to rejuvenate your skin from the inside out. Laser light passes harmlessly through the upper layers of your skin, stimulating the cells deep below the surface that produce natural collagen. Collagen and elastin fibers multiply after your treatment, so you see improved results over the months ahead.
Laser photorejuvenation therapy can be used to effectively treat a variety of skin conditions, including fine lines, small blood vessels, rosacea, sun-damaged spots, age spots, fine lines, and enlarged pores.
Initially, we recommend series of five treatments about 3 to 4 weeks apart to maximize collagen stimulation. Afterward, follow‐up treatments at four to six‐month intervals needed to help sustain continued growth of new collagen and maintain a more youthful appearance.
A typical treatment takes from 15-20 minutes and can be done over your lunch hour. The treatments are very safe with virtually no down time. The laser skin rejuvenation is an ideal complement to microdermabrasion, Botox®, and filler injections.
We use intense pulsed light (IPL) or sclerotherapy to treat and minimize the appearances of small spider veins. You will be rid of broken blood vessels under the skin, small leg veins, facial and nasal spider veins, and Rosacea (red cheeks). In sclerotherapy, a sclerosing solution is injected into the vein, causing the vein to collapse. The number of treatment needed depends on the size and location of veins.
